Project overview
The 183rd Wing of the Illinois Air National Guard is based at Abraham Lincoln Capital Airport in Springfield. In 2022 the Wing's contracting office awarded SIS a fixed-price, small-business set-aside contract to repair a structural column in Building 1, one of the installation's maintenance buildings.
Structural repairs in an operating maintenance facility have to keep the building safe and usable while the work is underway, and every worker needs installation access. Small, well-run repair contracts like this one build the working relationships that lead to larger installation projects.
Scope of work
- Structural column repair in Building 1
